    When A Fight Breaks Out

  • Move away from the kitchen, bathroom or any place where there are dangerous objects.
  • Plan the easiest escape. Decide on a door or window to exit quickly and safely.
  • Find a neighbor, friend or family member you can trust to help you and your children, or to call police.

Talk To Somone
If you feel you're being abused, it's important to speak to someone that can help you. Here are ideas for you:
  • Police Officer
  • A member of your family
  • A teacher or school counselor
  • Your friends or their parents
  • Your priest, minister or rabbi
  • A doctor or nurse
  • People in court- the district attorney or victim witness advocate
  • Staff at Tri-County Council or your local battered women's program
  • Another adult you trust
