Why you need a legal advocate...

  • Free, confidential advocacy services for victims of crime.

  • You have the rights under the law.

  • Tri-County Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault offers advocacy services for victims of crime.

  • Legal Advocacy Services Include:

  • Understanding a Restraining Order

  • -What id does, what it doesn't do, how to get one, filling out the paperwork, filing, fees, ect.

  • Help with Judicare - what is Judicare, who qualifies for assistance, how to apply, filling out the paperwork, follow up.

  • Having someone to accompany you in the courtroom through some or all stages of the legal process-you choose what you need, we're there for you.

  • Although we are not attorneys and cannot provide legal advice, we can be there to support you, listen to you and provide information
